HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After a long nights sleep, we were up and at it this momrning. We got dressed up in our Easter duds and headed to Church with Pops and T.  Ewee helped Usher to take up the Offering and we all enjoyed Mrs. Jan's sermon; then it was off to Matheson Road.  Everyone came to our house for lunch today.  What a spread!!!!!!

Good food, family, fun, naps and some face time with Grandpa D!!!  We got our bath, caught a little bit of a movie, got in a couple of stories and hit the sack.....  WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Oh....and I think this kiddo is kinda handsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing like hunting Easter Eggs.....

Tired boy slept past 8:00........of course I had to wake him up to head out to do a little egg hunting!!!!!!!  He was super excited and wanted to carry his Easter basket everywhere.  It was all over the house this morning.....if he was there, the basket was with in arms reach!!!

First stop, Culverton Methodist for the Devereux Charge hunt.  Three little boys and 200 eggs.....  Ewee liked his odds!!!!!

Headed to the house all hocked up on sugar and grabbed a bite for lunch...  The sun was shining and it was time for Round 2.... We headed to the church for 2000 eggs scattered all over the lawn!!!!  The odds were not as good, but with as many eggs that we found this morning, it was fine!!!   When we walked up we ran into MG....  Look at how cute she is!!!!!!!!!!!!

We finished up with the the hunt and all of the activities and headed to the house.   Eyes were heavy on the way to the house, but he was a trooper.  We went over to visit with MaBo, grabbed a snack with her; she made him a batch of muffins, and sitting on the front porch enjoying the afternoon.  We got our supper ready and ate like Kings......  Since it was a little early, we put on a little Thomas and within 5 minutes of sitting down, I looked over and this is what I saw....

Having fun is hard work guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Night night!!!!!!!

Friday night fun with bellybuttons, bluegrass and base......

Ewee got home early in the afternoon and we went and ran a few errands.  He was very chatty and was asking questions about anything and everything under the sun.  You can never know what kind of conversations you are going to have with a 3 1/2 year old.  I'll spare you the details.....comical to say the least....

I packed us a picnic and we headed to the River walk for the Bluegrass Jamboree to celebrate Earth Day.  We got ourselves a spot, spread out the blanket and had ourselves some snacks.  There were lots of people there and Ewee was having a good time.  He started out staying on the blanket and sticking real close to me.

 

As more people came down, more children arrived and he began to test the boundaries...  Then he made some friends.  Next thing, he was running up and down the sidewalk, playing with some of the other kiddos and talking up a storm!!!  He was staying relatively close, glancing back at me every few minutes to make sure he could see me and to see if I was going to say anything about how far he was going.  Each time, it was a little bit further. 

 Ewee ran into this little boy and his momma was so happy that there was a kid there that he had not scared off.  He was a spry lil tyke.  He wanted to do everything that Ewee was doing.  They were really cute.  The little boy wanted to pull his shirt up and show Ewee his bellybutton.  Of course, he had to reciprocate....  They played for quite a while and it was time for his new friend to go...  Hugs.....

The last band of the night was great...  The sound system was not great, OK, but not great.  With the clouds rolling in, they said they were heading out into the crowd and for everyone to gather round.  Leave it up to Ewee to see the pretty lady with the "big git tar"....  He was drawn like a moth to a flame....  She asked him if he wanted to play it and he couldn't help himself; he was in awe!!!! 

Had a great night, good food, good friends, and some fine, live, up close and personal bluegrass music.  Tired little boy meant and easy night for bath and bedtime.  Got a big day tomorrow......

We love you MaMa Zula....

When we went out for school this morning, we had a very nice surprise!!!!

 

Shortly after Will was born, MaMa Zula lost the good fight.  I was able to go over to the house and dig up a few flowers and plants from her yard before the we sold the house.  Things that I always associate with her and her yard.  She was always working in the yard when she was able to.  These are right by the walkway up to our backdoor...  Makes me smile that I know that she is watching over me and Will!!!!  I miss you MaMa......

Loving Warm Weather, Riding Bikes and some Cousin Time!!!!

After work today, we loaded up and headed downtown; cousin Caroline is in town and it was time to play!!!  They sat in the floor and colored and talked and gave each other orders....they are too funny together!!!  Ewee was itching to get outside, so we got the helmet and bike and headed to the sidewalks...

Tickle time!!!

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye and head to the house.  Supper time was calling.  The weather was so nice today that Ewee was riding on his Motor Gator.  MaBo came over to sit with us and talk about his day.  He took her back to the garden and showed her his strawberry plant that has come back from last year and was VERY proud.  They talked about his school day and she watched him ride while I got our supper ready.  Since it was so nice outside, we had a little picnic.  He was ecstatic about eating in the backyard!! We better enjoy it now....skeeter season is on the way!!!  Finished up and he helped clean up supper and got his bath. Storytime, a lot of hugs and kisses and one tired little boy make for a great day!!!
