Go jump in the lake...

Left work early today, got Will, our bathing suits and headed to the lake...  James and Sherry played host to the Kennedy Boys for some lake fun and grilling.  We couldn't get to the water fast enough to please this little fish!!!  On the way out he told me "Hey dad, imma jump off the dock into the water", so that was the first thing that he wanted to do...  he needed a little help, so Sherry gave him a little help.  He was in a mood to do everything once and then get back in the water tonight.  So we only jumped in one time.

Presley want to jump in too....

Swimming like a fish

Taking a breather....

The boys....all 4 of us!!!

Next we got on the paddle boat....he was so excited....

But his feet wouldn't reach the pedals.... but he did come up with a good improv...

Cleaning up the bottom of the lake....

Hey dad, i want to ride on the skidoo....No buddy, it is a Sea-Doo... "I know, that's what I said"!!!!!

OK dad.....I am ready to go swimming now.....  boy loves the water!!!!!!

James was busy while we were playing, grilling up a storm and getting supper ready.  We had hot dogs, beans, mac n cheese and fresh watermelon with blueberries.  All that playing in the waster made him a hungry little one.  We enjoyed sitting around after supper visiting and watching Will play for a while.  He was visibly getting tired....moving a little slower each minute, so we loaded up and headed towards the house.  He was very curious if he really had to take a bath tonight!!!!  I told him yes and he was almost asleep before we got jammies on.....  lovin the summertime!!

The last day of our adventure....Tractors, adventures and one cold creek

We slept in a little late today...up later than normal last night celebrating!!!  The girls went shopping so the 3 boys went on a few adventures of our own.

First stop, an antique tractor and car show. This was something else....  we drove for what felt like miles to a farm close to a nearby town and this was at a gentleman's family farm.  They didn't charge admission and boy did they have the antiques!!!!!

Missed the shot of him in the rim of this monster.....

You couldda eaten off of this thing!!!!  It was an impeccable restoration...

We even got to see a blacksmith in action....

It wasn't hot out, but a great day to stroll along a look at some beautiful workhorses of the past.  After looking at a ton of tractors, we had to stop for an ice cream.  Loved walking and sharing a lick of two with my lil man... now on to some old cars...

This entire building was from the owners private collection...

Will was in loooooove with this old truck.  The bed of the truck was stained and polished wood.  It was in immaculate condition.  WOW!!!!!!!

We grabbed a pulled pork sandwich and some home fried chips for lunch and headed out to our next stop...  R.B. Winter State Park  This place is beautiful and has a beach loaded with people and even got to see a wedding going on.  Will was instantly amazed by spillway that feeds the creek that runs down the mountain below the lake.

There was a sign near the spillway that read "Please stay off the dam".....AAAAAANNNNNDDDDD after I told him what it said, he wanted to walk out onto the dam!!!!

All of the other water around here is very cold, but we had to try this one out too.....

 Creek that feeds the lake..

 Lookin at fish?????

He wanted to be in the water soooooo bad, but settled for some time on
the swings with Grandpa D pushing...

After playing and working off lunch, we rolled down to the house.  The weather was great and we had some time before our evening plans, so the boys got on the lawnmower and decided to cut a little grass while we waited for the girls to get home from shopping.  Boy loves riding on anything that is John Deere......

For supper on our last night of our trip, we ventured out to Aunt Katie and Bucky's camper down at the creek.  We played in the creek, it was about to kill him to get in that water, so he was able to walk across the creek and throw rocks (cause there is NO shortage of rocks) and have fun doing all of the things that Andy was doing.

Grandpa D supervising Bucky on the grill

I just gotta throw a few more before supper...

The Graduate.....oh yeah....the hair is the aftermath of a graduation trip to Jamaica!!!

After a great supper of grilled turkey burgers and all of the trimmings,
THIS is what Grandpa D does......

 Bucky's souvenir from Jamaica...

The campground has a pond and these trout are huge!!!!!!  Will had a blast feeding them.  They will practically eat out of your hand

 Cheesin with Aunt Katie

If you could only know what was going through that mind!!!!!!

We loaded up and headed to the house because we have an early morning tomorrow to head home and he is ecstatic to be flying again tomorrow....  Good times......

VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After a full day yesterday, we settled in to do some exploring.....  Oh yeah, it is the first week in June and we had to pull up the covers last night...Gotta love this weather!!!!!!  We had a good time exploring a lot of neat things....

Headin out with Grandpa D to the long talked about "Woodshed"

Knew it wouldn't be long before they would be riding on some toys

We loaded up and went to see a newly renovated original covered bridge...
Penns Creek....Soooo peaceful...and just plain beautiful!!

He was amazed that you could walk through it and see the creek beneath the bridge...

The renovation was a impeccably done.  It was amazing to look at some of the wood that was used and the craftsmanship that was employed to complete this project.

Double ear infection and swimmers ear......  this is just torture.  Given that the pool temp was about 72 degrees, that water is nowhere near enjoyable!!!!!!!!  But we still had to put our feet in it since he couldn't get in

Are you sure I can't get in Dad??

Even more torture watchin Andy get to play....

Building some marble tower runs....

Andy gettin in on some action....  played for a while with these

Grammy Pam and her sister, Dianna

HOW BOUT THIS!!!!!!  It's Mater!!!!!!!!
He was so excited!!!!!

Grandpa D got an education on Lighting and Mater

Whats with the pockets??!!??

He was crackin up at the tongue.....

We loaded up to run an errand or two and walked out to this!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Said he had to go tee tee!!!!  Everyone got a big kick out of this.....  So going in his wedding video....if they still do them then!!!!

Before errands, we rode down to the creek to catch up with Andy, Dianna, Grammy Pam and Gail.  More water and this is TORTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we waded and threw rocks.  There is no shortage of rocks to throw in Penns Creek

Everybody enjoying the water.  Man was it cold!!!!

Lil Poser....

Look Dad...... I found a cool rock!!!!

Even got to see some cool kayak's

Nice to have a little down time to just do whatever.  Exploring, learning, playing and just watching life go by.  Will got to spend some good time being with Grandpa D and Grammy Pam.  Definitely got to see some neat things that we don't get to see everyday!!  Lookin forward to some more cool weather tonight!!!!!!!  We are tired boys!!!
