Cinco de Mayo tubing and a Super moon

After last night, we slept a little late.....we actually didn't get up until 7:15!!! We grabbed our breakfast, put on some clothes and headed out the door. We had to hit up the Lowe's to get a few things and then we went to the grocery, we went to a Cinco de Mayo party this afternoon!  After we finished our errands, we grabbed a good lunch so that we would have the energy to swim and play.
When we got to the lake, the Harrington boys were waiting on us to get there so that we could go out on a boat ride.  Brock and Evan were ready to tube and as you can see, we were apprehensive for a little bit, but after seeing Evan ride, he wanted to ride.  Evan offered to go with him so that he would not be by himself.   They are sooooo good to Will when he is around playing with them!!!

After we tubed, we headed in to feed some hungry boys…It was tacos, Mexican rice, and all of the trimmings…  I think he had two helpings of everything!!!  After supper was finished we retired to the dock to wet a hook for a bit and get our prime seats for tonight’s Super Moon.  It was absolutely amazing and it came up right over the end of the dock.  These pics do not do it justice, but it was sooooo pretty!!!

              

It was dark thirty and I had a tired little boy on my hands, so we loaded up and started home…We did not even make it to the power plant and he was out cold.  Skipped the bath and story time tonight, it will be an early morning in the morning to get ready for church!!!!!!!

Carving out memories….

 

Last year we were practicing shapes with our pumpkin, gluing shapes on for his face….  This year, it was time to get our hands a little dirty; and our forearms, and shoulders and shirt!!!!!!!!!  

 

    

I gave the little man a piece of paper and pencil and asked him what he wanted the pumpkin to look like. He drew out the pumpkin face and INSISTED that the mouth only have one tooth.  “Just one tooth daad”!!!!!

    

So he drew the circle around the top of the pumpkin and I told him that after I cut the hole off the top that he was going to stick his hand in there and get the stuff out…

    

It’s all cleaned out and we drew the face on it like he wanted with a few modifications; I got the shapes cut out and he pushed them in and fished them out of the pumpkin…..he was really diggin putting his arm all the way in the pumpkin. 

Right after this, he said that it needed a candle and it was time to light it….  I explained that we would put the candle in and light it after dark and he says…”well, it’s almost dark daad”…..  We had just finished lunch!!!!!!!!  We had a good day today and after a good supper, a little Wii time and a warm bath, we talked to Grandpa D and Grammy Pam and had the lighting of our own              Great Pumpkin!!!!!!!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After a long nights sleep, we were up and at it this momrning. We got dressed up in our Easter duds and headed to Church with Pops and T.  Ewee helped Usher to take up the Offering and we all enjoyed Mrs. Jan's sermon; then it was off to Matheson Road.  Everyone came to our house for lunch today.  What a spread!!!!!!

Good food, family, fun, naps and some face time with Grandpa D!!!  We got our bath, caught a little bit of a movie, got in a couple of stories and hit the sack.....  WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Oh....and I think this kiddo is kinda handsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing like hunting Easter Eggs.....

Tired boy slept past 8:00........of course I had to wake him up to head out to do a little egg hunting!!!!!!!  He was super excited and wanted to carry his Easter basket everywhere.  It was all over the house this morning.....if he was there, the basket was with in arms reach!!!

First stop, Culverton Methodist for the Devereux Charge hunt.  Three little boys and 200 eggs.....  Ewee liked his odds!!!!!

Headed to the house all hocked up on sugar and grabbed a bite for lunch...  The sun was shining and it was time for Round 2.... We headed to the church for 2000 eggs scattered all over the lawn!!!!  The odds were not as good, but with as many eggs that we found this morning, it was fine!!!   When we walked up we ran into MG....  Look at how cute she is!!!!!!!!!!!!

We finished up with the the hunt and all of the activities and headed to the house.   Eyes were heavy on the way to the house, but he was a trooper.  We went over to visit with MaBo, grabbed a snack with her; she made him a batch of muffins, and sitting on the front porch enjoying the afternoon.  We got our supper ready and ate like Kings......  Since it was a little early, we put on a little Thomas and within 5 minutes of sitting down, I looked over and this is what I saw....

Having fun is hard work guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Night night!!!!!!!
