What a great Friday!!!!!

A male bonding day for Will....  This morning, Pops met us at Black Springs Church for the switch off and they were off to have breakfast together at the house.  They ran a few errands and then it was on the tractor to do some work on the farm.  It had to be cut a little short because someone couldn't keep their eyes open....(may be a new nap inducing method!!!)   A little nappage and then on to Sparta to have lunch with Tuts.  She was filling in at the Sparta Farm Bureau, so the three of them had luch in Sparta together.  

I picked Will up about 1:30 in the middle of a great and much needed rain storm.  So, we came on to the house and played a little and tried to fit in a nap.  I should have brought the tractor home, because he was not feeling the nap thing.  I kept hearing him in his room and decided not to fight it.  I went in and picked him up and took him to the front door to show his some more of the rain that was falling.  I went to check and see if he needed to be changed and lo and behold.....THERE WAS NO DIAPER!!!   I kinda chuckled and asked where his diaper was and he just grinned and giggled and pointed towards his room.  This kid ain't dumb....We got on a fresh diaper and put on some clothes and off to Wally World we went.  

His new thing whenever we are out around other people is to squeal, grin, wave and say "Hey"....TO EVERYONE we pass.  So he got his fill of waving at people while we were at Wally World.  It is Tax Free shopping weekend and it was a madhouse!!!!We came on to the house and I made French Toast with sausage...He ate 3 pieces of toast and 2 links of sausage.  Kid has an appetite, FO SHO.  Once we got supper all cleaned up and a bath to get rid of all of the syrup he had on his body, it was on to the living room.  We got out all of the blankets in the house, made a huge pallet in the living room floor, threw lots of pillows down and put on Ratatouille.  I don't know if he had more fun rolling around the pallet or watching the movie.  There is a huge disadvantage to only having the two of us in the house at any given time.  I missed a picture perfect moment that probably will not happen that often in my life.  He was running around, I was laying on the pallet and the rat, Remy, was on a tirade.  Will decided to sit down and straddle my back.  Next thing I know he lays on my back, just laying there watching the movie.  I was about to explode because I could not get my camera and take a picture.  Nonetheless, just one more moment that will be burned into my memory with my awesome son!!!  He started yawning not long after that and it was off to bed.  What a way to end a week!!!  We have a super busy weekend with birthday parties, yes more than one, and catching up with friends....  Sorry no pictures, maybe next time!!!

My Buddy is the BEST!!!!!

You would think that he was caught doing something wrong, from the look on his face, but, NOOOOOOOOO....He is just that comical!!!!  We had a GREAT night tonight.  It has been 5 days since I have had my Buddy, so to say that I was excited to have him home is the understatement of the century. 

We got naps in this afternoon after a funeral for a family friend, got in a little Cars action.  I think this kiddo could watch that movie multiple times  a day and NEVER get tired of it...  He ate a HUGE supper of fresh cucumbers, grilled chicken, mixed garden veggies, a little toast and vanilla pudding.  I was full just watching the little vaccum demolish his plate.  We also fit in a visit with MaBo to polish off a few animal crackers.  He decided that he wanted to walk across the street to see the red trailer at a neighbors house.  He loves anything that has wheels...

After all of that, we were able to water a few plants in the backyard since the rain bypassed us AGAIN!!!!  If you have that hose out, he is going to get in the water, one way or another....  He "washed" his truck, tractor, feet, the windows on the back of the hosue and also tried to get his pants a little wet.  We had the best time tonight and I can't wait for the weekend.  We are going to Pops and Tuts' for supper tomorrow night after work.  I am sure that she will have a spread.

A Little Behind....

This past weekend was a BUSY weekend for me and my Buddy.  Friday night, we ate a great supper and had a surprise visit from MaBo and Great Aunt Karen...I know Aunt Karen, that does sound a little funny.  They had been to dinner and wanted to come over to play and visit.  Will had a great time and finally warmed up to Aunt Karen.  He is DEFINITLY displaying his independance!!!!

Saturday morning, we were up and atem early.  Will is not one for sleeping in, so we got up, had a warm cup of milk, ate 2 eggs, toast with Aunt Susan's strawberry jelly (YUM!!!! LOVES IT!!!) and some banana Cherio's.  We got dressed and had a nice visit at the lake with Mr. Gus and Mrs. Louise.  She had called me early in the week to inform me that it had been long enough since she had seen him and they would be home on Saturday...  So, we went to visit and play and wrapped up a very nice visit with some delsicious Oreo Ice Cream.  Since Oreo's are his favorite cookie of all time, we have to get the recipie...

We had a great surprise visit from and old friend of mine from growing up.  Corky, Paula and Rowan made a late night trip from Panama City to see his parents and Grandma J.  We went over to Jack and Marriane's to spend a little time, not nearly enough, but a great visit none the less.  Rowan is getting so big and was happy to share all of her toys with Will.  She even tried to show Will a little bit about sharing.  He tried to reciprocate, but it is something that we are working on....  As a parent, nothing will warm you heart more then seeing your kid playing and making momories with your friends kid.  Corky got a few pics and I hope that he will share them...Good times and great memories....  Thanks you guys...

Of course, a nap was in order to recouperate from the morning and getting ready for the afternoon.  We went to help celebrate Evan's birthday.  It was earlier in the week and his daddy was out of town, so we had a party at the lake on Saturday!!!  We had a good time on Will's first boat ride and watching the boys on the tube.  I even dicided to get a little tube action and Will would not take his eyes off of me.  I think he enjoyed watching until I got thrown off...  We ate some deliscious supper, had some great conversation with friends and headed to the house 2 tired boys.....But man was is fun!!!!

Sunday was a lazy day.  W had a little bit of an upset tummy, so we lounged around the house watching Cars, Horton Hears a Who and a few other videos...  Got plenty of fluids and some homemade chicken and rice.  He really ate that up...  What a great weekend.  Family, friends, food and fun....Doesn't get much better than that....

Kennedy Family Vacation 2009!!!!

      We had a GREAT time in Gulf Shores, Alabama over the weekend!!!   We pulled out bright and early Thursday morning and Will was such a trooper on the ride down...  we watched Cars (of course!!!), got in a little Horton Hears a Who and played games and read a million books.  We checked in to our condo and headed to the beach.
     Will knows no fear...  he was straight in and headed for deep water.  He enjoyed playing in the sand and knocking over any simblence of a sand castle that he would let me get half way built.  He had such a good time playing in the holes and squeeled with delight when the waves would come up and wash over his little body.  Salt water in the eyes was not that fun, but he had a blast.  We headed over to the pool to play a little and he was straight into his routine.  Blowing bubbles, kicking his feet and jumping off the sides of the poole.  Of course we had to all be in there to make sure that we call would clap and sing praises and he would jsut grin with pride!!!  What a hoot.
     He was a little vaccum when we would go out to eat and love to eat anything on any plate!!  As we have been experiencing, Will eats nearly anything that you put in front of him.  He loved Tut's ham that she made to take with us....
     On Sunday we had an extra special treat; Mom (my momma's sister), Clyde and Susan and Liz and Mike came over from Pensacola for a day of fun, sun, good food and family time.  It was so nice to have everyone together and watching Will and Bailey play with all of the family.  We all were able to sit on the beach and by the pool to enjoy the kiddo's.
     As always, reality is just sitting there waiting to slam the door on a good time.  We loaded up all of our stuff and hit the road this morning and now it is time to get back to the grind.  I just wish that everyday was a vacation day with Will at teh beach or by the pool.  It was 5 days of fun and play; just doesn't get any better then that.  WE HAD A BLAST!!!!!!!!!!  Enjoy the pics....

Hitting the road in 36 hours!!!!!

Me and my Buddy are hitting the road with the parentals on Thursday morning, meeting up with Uncle Buck, Aunt Tickle and Baby Bailey in Montgomery for lunch and then on to the sugar white sands and crystal blue waters of the Gulf!!!!  Headed to Gulf Shores for a long deserved weekend of fun, family, good food and a little ocean time for Will!!!!  All you have to say is do you want to go to the beach???  and he perks up quite a bit.   I kid you not, he is a little fish.  He is fearless in the water and wants to walk out as far as you will let him....  Needless to say, I don't plan on doing much sitting for the next few days...
