Father's Day 2009

WOW what a day.....what a GREAT day!!!! How do you count the rewards of being a Father??? Unconditional love, the gentle loving touch of my face, a quiet nap time, a long hot shower, a clean shave, time with family, more nap time, snuggle time and a movie, fun in the sprinkler and clipping finger AND toenails through the squeals of pain & agony and a longer than normal rocking time for bed tonight....he was soooo cuddly.

Will was up and at'em bright and early this morning. For starters, we chilled in the bed with a bottle and a lil Sesame Street to get the day rolling. He just wanted to lay there and drink up his milk and be still....a rarity, but one of the great joys of your child. We had some blueberry pancakes for breakfast (that Will helped to make) with some sausage. I think that kiddo could eat syrup on cardboard..... We had a little nap time and then it was off to Pops and Tuts for Father'd Day Lunch. What a spread...chicken cassarole, fresh green beans from our garden (Will helped plant these), potatoes, biscuts and cranberry sauce (Will LOVES this).... Thank you Momma and MaBo for the great lunch. Nap, nap, nap and some deliscious devil's food cake for dessert. No pool time today, but we had plenty of that on Friday and yesterday....

We came on home and Will wanted to watch Cars, so that is what we did...of course, we had to read a few books and play with a few toys, but that Kiddo LOVES that movie!!! We hit the swing and watered a few plants and you can see how the night ended from there....
