I think we have fins and gills.....

Friday afternoon, it was hot!!!!!!!  I mean 100+ degrees and the pool was calling....  we headed to the farm to get in some pool time.  All you have to do is give that boy a swim vest and some water and he is a happy kid!!!  We swam for a little bit and then headed in to have a good meal...  MaBo even  joined us...

While we were there, T told Ewee she had a surprise for him.  Up on the ceiling fan on the back porch, we have a new little family....  Not sure what kind of birds they are, but he was enthralled with the little birds!!!  We'll have to watch them and see how they do....

Also on the front porch in one of the ferns, there is another nest with 4 or 5 little eggs that he got to see.  Glad that he is home this week and he may get to watch them hatch!!!!  Love life on the farm!! 


After supper was over, I was crackin up.  I know you all remember when you were young.....how many times did we hear, "we have to wait 30 minutes for super to settle before we can swim"????  Well, we had to wait 30 minutes....because Daddy says so!!!!!!!!!  Yes, I am a parent and yes I pulled that excuse too!!!!!!!!!  According to Pops, Ewee told him that he wanted to swim in the pool when it was dark so that we could turn the light on.....  And of course, Ewee got his wish.  We suited up again and headed for the pool....Pops fired up the pool light and he was in awe!!!!!  Of course, he was just happy because he was back in the water.  We swam, hung out by the light and had swimming races.  Of course he won.....eyes were getting heavy and the night was marching on, so it was jammies time and the short ride back to town.  I was sure he wouldn't make it to the county line, but he was talking up a storm.  He was talking about anything that he could to keep from going to sleep, but there was a short pause and then it was the chin on the chest....he was out cold!!!!!  What a fun night!!!!
