We slept in a little late today...up later than normal last night celebrating!!! The girls went shopping so the 3 boys went on a few adventures of our own.
First stop, an antique tractor and car show. This was something else.... we drove for what felt like miles to a farm close to a nearby town and this was at a gentleman's family farm. They didn't charge admission and boy did they have the antiques!!!!!
Missed the shot of him in the rim of this monster.....
You couldda eaten off of this thing!!!! It was an impeccable restoration...
We even got to see a blacksmith in action....
It wasn't hot out, but a great day to stroll along a look at some beautiful workhorses of the past. After looking at a ton of tractors, we had to stop for an ice cream. Loved walking and sharing a lick of two with my lil man... now on to some old cars...
This entire building was from the owners private collection...
Will was in loooooove with this old truck. The bed of the truck was stained and polished wood. It was in immaculate condition. WOW!!!!!!!
We grabbed a pulled pork sandwich and some home fried chips for lunch and headed out to our next stop... R.B. Winter State Park This place is beautiful and has a beach loaded with people and even got to see a wedding going on. Will was instantly amazed by spillway that feeds the creek that runs down the mountain below the lake.
There was a sign near the spillway that read "Please stay off the dam".....AAAAAANNNNNDDDDD after I told him what it said, he wanted to walk out onto the dam!!!!
All of the other water around here is very cold, but we had to try this one out too.....
Creek that feeds the lake..
Lookin at fish?????
He wanted to be in the water soooooo bad, but settled for some time on
the swings with Grandpa D pushing...
After playing and working off lunch, we rolled down to the house. The weather was great and we had some time before our evening plans, so the boys got on the lawnmower and decided to cut a little grass while we waited for the girls to get home from shopping. Boy loves riding on anything that is John Deere......
For supper on our last night of our trip, we ventured out to Aunt Katie and Bucky's camper down at the creek. We played in the creek, it was about to kill him to get in that water, so he was able to walk across the creek and throw rocks (cause there is NO shortage of rocks) and have fun doing all of the things that Andy was doing.
Grandpa D supervising Bucky on the grill
I just gotta throw a few more before supper...
The Graduate.....oh yeah....the hair is the aftermath of a graduation trip to Jamaica!!!
After a great supper of grilled turkey burgers and all of the trimmings,
THIS is what Grandpa D does......
Bucky's souvenir from Jamaica...
The campground has a pond and these trout are huge!!!!!! Will had a blast feeding them. They will practically eat out of your hand
Cheesin with Aunt Katie
If you could only know what was going through that mind!!!!!!
We loaded up and headed to the house because we have an early morning tomorrow to head home and he is ecstatic to be flying again tomorrow.... Good times......
Love,
B & W
