Carving out memories….

 

Last year we were practicing shapes with our pumpkin, gluing shapes on for his face….  This year, it was time to get our hands a little dirty; and our forearms, and shoulders and shirt!!!!!!!!!  

 

    

I gave the little man a piece of paper and pencil and asked him what he wanted the pumpkin to look like. He drew out the pumpkin face and INSISTED that the mouth only have one tooth.  “Just one tooth daad”!!!!!

    

So he drew the circle around the top of the pumpkin and I told him that after I cut the hole off the top that he was going to stick his hand in there and get the stuff out…

    

It’s all cleaned out and we drew the face on it like he wanted with a few modifications; I got the shapes cut out and he pushed them in and fished them out of the pumpkin…..he was really diggin putting his arm all the way in the pumpkin. 

Right after this, he said that it needed a candle and it was time to light it….  I explained that we would put the candle in and light it after dark and he says…”well, it’s almost dark daad”…..  We had just finished lunch!!!!!!!!  We had a good day today and after a good supper, a little Wii time and a warm bath, we talked to Grandpa D and Grammy Pam and had the lighting of our own              Great Pumpkin!!!!!!!!
