We just had the best time lounging around the house this weekend. Will was in a really playful mood Friday night. While I had supper cooking, we built some buildings out of his building blocks and we had to plow the tractors through them and knock them down and rebuild them about 100 times...We ate a little supper and had some really good banana pudding for desert. We came into the living room to settle down and he wanted to read a few books, so we did. I asked him to get another book to read and he threw it down and ran over to me and jumped into my lap. I fell over and he thought that was the neatest thing!! So here the two of us are in the middle of the living room floor in a pile and he ran and jumped on me until he was tired. It was soooooo much fun. Of course, I had to fall over and that just made him laugh even more. There is no better sound than to hear the laughter of a child. Especially when he laughs to the point of drooling all over the place!!!! It was bath and more stories and a tired little boy drifted off to sleep in my arms, not something that happens often nowadays!!
We were up and atem early on Saturday and after some blueberry pancakes and chocolate milk, we ran to Belk and hit a big sale. We were able to get Will his Christmas P.J.'s, several dressy outfits and a couple of casual thing. Saved a boatload of money because of some really big sale they were having. We played at the house and also rode on the tricycle, SEVERAL times through the day. It was just a good day all around. We wound down the evening with..... I know you are surprised, a viewing of Cars, and bath and bed. Good day.
Sunday we hit the pews at church and Will loved the music. During the sermon, the preacher asked for an Amen, so Will gave him one, about a minute AFTER he asked for it. That in turn made another kiddo speak up too and as I shrunk into the pew, he professed that there was nothing like the sound of children in church......whew!!! He just knew that he was the center of attention, even if it was only for a second or two. We got some lunch and a nap, both of us!!! He was calling out for Nanna and Bop Bop, so we loaded up and visited with the Pursley's for a bit and he kept us entertained. They just love having him over there and playing. She loaded us up with some cheese straws and Will was in the bag before we got out of the driveway. He LOVES those things!! We joined the Harrington's for some supper and Will played with the boys all over the living room. The boys brought down the Sit-N-Spin, I know you remember that toy.... he finally got the hang of it after a few tries!!! He was soo funny. It is just so cool to sit back and watch him interact. He is becoming such a little boy. Well, the week is beckoning, enjoy the pics!!!
Love,
B & W
