Cars and Trucks, Creeks and a Hoppin Good Time....

Of course, on a Saturday, we are up earlier than we are during the week.  Just would like to know how kids have the innate ability to do that...  A question to be pondered for many more generations to come.  Anywhoo....  We had big breakfast this morning and he was already talking about going outside.   So we got dressed and headed out for a visit with Nana and Bop Bop Pursley.   They could just sit and watch that kid for hours I am convinced.  He had his A game on this morning and was performing like a champ.  He was telling them all kinds of stuff, words flowed like water and they were amazed.  After some of Nana's cookies and trying to help Bop Bop hook a trailer and a car together, we loaded up and had a short nap.  When he woke up from his nap, I was in my room folding clothes and I heard him on the monitor and he was talking to himself; well, more like whispering to himself.  He kept saying "Daddy's here...Daddy gonna get you", then he would laugh out loud.  I just sat there and listened to him, beaming all the while!!!

After lunch, we got dressed, loaded up the tricycle and headed to woods.  The weather was so great today and the outdoors was calling...and Will was hollering back at it.  We rode with the windows down (the heat was on high) talking about everything that passed by his window.  The Harrington boys were waiting for us to get to the house so that we could load up and do a little exploring. We ran around the back yard for a little bit and then we hit the trial that heads down to the creek behind their house.  Will was ready to throw some sticks and rocks in the water.  On the way, every time that he  saw a little puddle of water, he would want to stop and I had to tell him that he was going to see a big creek when we got there.  He was excited to say the least.

After a long hike and running in the backyard while Evan was hitting the ball, Ewee was fading fast.  He drank a juice with the boys and then we loaded up to head home for an afternoon nap.  We didn't even make it out of the neighborhood and he was cashed.  Out like a light.  He barely roused when I got him out of the truck.  He did sit up and look at me when I put him in the bed, but that did not last long!!!  He had sooooo much fun!!!

Ewee had a good nap this afternoon and popped up asking about Kate Kate.  We had dinner plans with the Bentley's and he was ready to see Kate Kate.    When we got there, he was a little shy , but it wasn't long before he warmed up to playing.  We watched Kate ride in her car, chased the basketball and jumped on the trampoline.
