Friday afternoon fun…..

Got my Buddy back after two loooooooong weeks and we decided to have a little fun!!!!  We had to get a snack in and then we hit the ground running. 

 

FIRST STOP..The Pumpkin Patch – Milledgeville FUMC

         

He was wide open…..  Even made a new friend!!!

           

The fact that Grant had Lighting and Mater couldn’t have anything to do with the new friendship…

 

Short and fat, tall and skinny, bumpy,  multicolored, BIG and little…..there was every kind of pumpkin that you could imagine there.  It would have been easy to blow some cash….. Man do I love fall!!!

 

 

SECOND STOP…The Huddle House

The kiddo said that he wanted to eat some breakfast for supper…  who is to argue with THAT logic???!!!???  We met up with Pops and T for some breakfast and nonstop chatter; although, I will have to say that I was one proud daddy to hear my child actively using his manners while being served.  Just really makes you proud!!  We all sat a visited and listened to him talk about everything under the sun and eating some of EVERYTHING on the table.  Kid can put away some food…..

THIRD STOP… Downtown Milledgeville

It was Deeproots weekend here at home and Friday night, the back parking lots behind Grant’s and the Library are usually full of people preparing for the bar-b-que competition of Saturday.  This year there was a noticeably smaller crowd.  We walked around to visit with some friends and enjoy the smell of fresh cooking meat.  Will got to see his buddy Blake Jones, but he was sitting down and eating some supper and Will was in no mood to sit still… so we walked.  He was carrying his small flashlight and stopped and shined it up in my face and says….. “hey dad…..I wanna go home”.  So needless to say we loaded it up and went back to the house to play.  Warm bath and footie jammies for tonight….weather is getting pretty chilly at night!!!!  Fall is in the air!!!!!!  We talked to Grandpa D, Grammy Pam and Aunt Liddy on the computer and settled in to read a few books….then he put the three back and said, “Let’s read this long one”, he was out before I finished 3 pages…  All is right in the world when my little man is home….  Life is good!!!
