Take a look at this photo and observe the intent that he is watching his most favorite movie. The Earth could be caving in around him and he would be oblivious. One of the things that amazes me about my son is the fact that whatever he is doing, he does it all out, full-throttle!!!!! Whenever we get home, he runs, with a purpose, towards the garden to pick and eat as many cherry tomato's that his little hands can hold. When his are full, he shoves some in his mouth and starts handing more to me. The way that he runs around the yard, enticing me to chase after him, laughing, looking at you with that look of " are you gonna catch me" is just too much fun!! To see him run round and round MaBo's house, stopping to sit in one of her three rocking chairs, will make YOU want to get up and run with him. Tonight, he discovered that he can not only unplug the emergency flashlight behind MaBo's chair, be he can also plug it back in!!!! I was amazed that an almost 23 month old can do that.
People would always tell me that it just gets better everyday. You sit there and look at that little person that you helped conceive, in complete awe and wonder how it can get any better than that very moment that you are living. Then you wake up the next day to a new discovery; a coo, a coordinated movement, running, jumping, talking or just sitting up in your lap reading a book or watching a movie. You just wonder how it can get any better, but it just does..... I have got to be the luckiest man on Earth to have been blessed with the privileged of molding this little being into the little man that he is becoming.
