Highs in the 30's and lows in the teens.....Milledgeville is NOT prepared for this!!!! Friday after work, we hit the Kroger, along with the rest of town and it was a madhouse..... You would think that we were about to have the blizzard of the century, but non the less....shopping had to be done. Will was a hoot in the store, if you walked by, you hot a big "HEEEEEYYYYYY". We picked up our things and headed to the house. Ate some good grub and played in the floor. We HAD to pour the giant legos out of the box no less than 5 times and if the Hungry Hungry Hippo's were depending on me and Will to survive, they would be long gone!!!! He has that game figured out. Likes to feed the hippos one ball at a time, but when you only have about 8 of the original 20 balls left( I found one of the balls in my work boot), it is the only way to make the game last a little while. Bath time followed by listening to Pops and T read our story time book tonight was a special treat. Kinda nice to have a change from the regular titles that we read. They gave Will a book that lets you record the pages and it made him soooo happy.....He would say "Popsh" and "Teeeeee" every single time they would start talking. Too cute. Enjoyed a new twist.... I went to put Will down and he said "more rock, more rock". So I did as the kid said and we sat and rocked, scratched his back and belly and watched that boy TRY and keep his eyes open. Doesn't get any better than that!!!!!!!!
Saturday, it was just cold, I mean cold. We had a week of it, but Will was raring to go. We got dressed and headed out to run a few errands. When we got back to the house, we HAD to ride the tricycle down the street, but it didn't take too much convincing to get him to go back to the house. I think that he was cold. We ate some lunch and hit the hay for a nap....at least that is what I thought. Nap time was on his own schedule. And it mostly included him sitting in his crib and talking. I turned the monitor on in the living room and just sat and listened to him. He is putting more and more words together and it is truly amazing to sit and listen to him. We got up and started working on supper. We had Amy and John over for a good Big Breakfast. I got Will up on the counter and let him make his mini sausage patties while I made the rest. We had a pot of grits, biscuits, eggs and some fresh fruit salad. We all jsut sat and watched Will eat. All I can say is that it must be a growth spurt. 4 helpings of grits, 2 helpings of eggs, a huge biscuit and all of his mini patties. We were talking that we have never seen him eat that much. After dinner we went into the living room to play. Will definitely kept us all entertained. We went to get ready for his bath and with the cold weather, static was everywhere. We all got a good laugh at his hair...
We had a great time playing and showing off tonight, but it was time to say nite and head to bath time. Had another night of "more rock", so I was lovin' it.
Sunday we tried church, but I'll just say that it did not work. We wound up coming home early and had our lunch. The we bundled up and headed to the Farm. I had to help Pops work on the tractor and Will and Tuts got in a nap and came out to make sure that we were working like we said that we were. No luck on the tractor, but we did have a good time. The weekend just went by waaaaaay to fast.
Love,
B & W
