HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!!

So.......  According to Harry H. Harrison's 1001 Things it Means to be a Dad, #3 reads, " Being a dad means understanding God has a plan for you.  He chose you to be the father of His child."  WOW!!!!!!!!!!  I am one lucky fella.

What a great weekend!!!  Uncle Buck, Bailey and Elliott got into town Friday afternoon.  We all loaded up and went to eat a little supper.  Will and Bailey were having a ball!!!!  The night was young, but the boys were tired.....  Headed to the house and wound down the night.  Got our bath and watched the Loin King.  He was a tired little boy.....

Saturday morning, we got up and had a little breakfast, ran a few errands and we were farm bound.....  The weather was warm and the pool was cool.  The kiddos were aching to get in the pool, so suits and swimmies went on and they were off.....  We played for a long time in the water...splashing, shooting water guns, playing with noodles, chasing toys and having a good time.  Pops got in on the fun while T was watching Elliott and visiting with Uncle Charlie and Aunt Dottie.

Pops having fun with the Grands

Having a hard time deciding on who was to talk and who was to listen.....  I don't know why...these are two of the quietest kids around....

Look at the princess

THIS is how you do it Bailey.....  and don't pay attention to the love birds behind you!!!!

Lovin some Elliott...

All this play was working up a big appetite for all of us and supper was waiting......  Feeding the hungry kiddos was priority.....  They were holed up at their table eating and talking while the "grown up table" was eating and talking and catching up.  After supper, he was begging to get back in the pool began and what did I tell him.....  wait for it....  OH YEAH......  "You have to wait 30 minutes before you can get back in the pool after you eat"!!!!!! Yep, I did!!!  You would have thought that we asked them to wait a lifetime...  So it was back to the pool....  Uncle Buck provided the after dinner entertainment....Daddy was a little too sunburned!!!!

 Kinda serious......

Stick'em up!!!

Blowing a little water in Uncle Buck's ear.

PRICELESS!!!!!!

While climbing onto Uncle Buck's back, someone's little foot got caught up in someone else's waistband of the bathing suit...  I think they were both tickled!!!

Wait Bailey...

That's how you do it....Right in the ear!!!!

Freeze frame.....

Long day of hard play makes for a sleepy boy...  Surprisingly, he never went to sleep on the way home.  He was too busy laughing and talking about all of the fun of the day.  Bath time and a few minutes of the Lion King continued only to fall asleep in my lap...  Doesn't get any better!!!

We slept in a little bit....Think we made it till 7:30 a.m...........but he did come into my room and stood right next to the bed and whispered "Happy Father's Day Dad...."!!!!  LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!  We grabbed some breakfast, loaded up and headed back to the farm to celebrate Father's with our family.  We enjoyed a great lunch and conversation and fun.  The girls all got on the road heading back to Alabama and me and Uncle Buck caught a nap.  Will, Pops and T headed out to the pool for some more play time and to cool off.  We headed back to the house to wind down a great weekend.  Harrison's # 32 reads, "Being a dad means realizing life doesn't get an better that this. Ever".  No it doesn't Mr. Harrison....

Love,

B & W
