So after a slight illness, we were able to hit the road to the airport. We parked the car, loaded up daddy like a pack mule and braved the line to security. Check in was a breeze and security was not bad, but the lines were C-R-A-Z-Y!!!!!! Try and keep a curious 4 1/2 year old walking through the airport and not want to stop at every window!!! He LOVED the train out to the terminal and how fast it went. He told the lady sitting next to him that loves to ride on fast trains. I kept looking at my phone, because I knew that we were going to be close on time, but we made it to the gate as the agent was supposed to be closing it up. He told me that it "was supposed to be closed 5 minutes ago" Will was holding our tickets waiving them in front of him and he said to get on and run!!!!! He was such a trooper trying to get to the plane, and all he wanted to do was stop and tell me how excited he was about getting on the plane. The attendant could tell that I was about to die and put us in some seats towards the front and helped me put our stuff away. He was steadily telling her that he was "super excited to be flyin..." We got settled into our seats and taxied to the runway. I don't think that he took 3 breaths the entire time. He was asking what everything did and why people were on the tarmac and what this machine does and what that equipment does and grabbing my arm and telling me that he "was flying on the airplane"!!!!!!!!!!!!
One excited little boy....
Waiting on takeoff in Atlanta...
We had a short flight to Charlotte, NC and a hour layover. Time enough to stretch our legs, walk around, sit and watch some interesting people and have a snack. Kid LOVED the moving sidewalks... of course he would run ahead and then turn around and walk back towards me. Said to me one time...."Hey Dad.....i am not moving......" then just cackled..... He was insistent that hand the tickets to the gate agent and boy that kid knows how to work it........
Waiting on takeoff in Charlotte, but wanted to look at himself on the phone....
The flight to Harrisburg was great, we were all the way at the back and when we were taking our seats, the attendant told Will that if he were a good boy that she would take him to meet the captain. He continued to ask a million questions and tell me everything that he saw out the window. His favorite thing to look out and see was the clouds. On this flight, he said it loud enough for the entire cabin to hear; "Hey Dad....look at those clouds......the look like COTTON CANDY!!!!!!!!!!" The attendant was in tears laughing at him. I think her comment was "not much gets by him huh Daddy"?? Once we touched down, most everyone was off the plane and the attendant came to the back and asked Will if he remembered what she told him. Of course, he remembered. So off to the front of the plane we went. The Captain and crew were great!!!!!! Captain got down and showed Will all of his pins and awards, he had questions about each of them!!!! Then told him to take a look up at the cockpit. He walked up, the co-captain was sitting there and he said "Whoa........ LOOK AT ALL OF THESE BUTTONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
